Perle, plesaunte to prynces paye Pearl, to delight a prince's day,
To clanly clos in golde so clere; Flawlessly set in gold so fair
Oute of oryent, I hardyly saye. In all the East, I dare to say,
Ne proved I never her precios pere. I have not found one to compare.
